Geological survey organizations across Canada develop innovative and publically available geoscientific data, knowledge, maps and more to support the needs of Canadians.
The National Geological Surveys Committee (NGSC) provides a forum for senior executives from Canada’s 13 geological survey organizations to coordinate and integrate public geoscience activities across Canada.
NGSC members identify emerging geoscience issues, consult on best practices and seek out opportunities to cooperate and collaborate. We also prepare and provide reports and recommendations to Ministers responsible for geological survey organizations, and promote the value of public geoscience among Canadians.
